GENERAL CHECK-UP

A physical examination involves observing the general appearance of the PET, listening to the chest with a ”stethoscope” and “palpation”, or feeling specific areas of the body. Your veterinarian will observe or inspect: How your dog walks and stands. Whether your pet is bright and alert. A wellness examination is a routine medical examination of a patient that is apparently healthy, as opposed to an examination of a patient that is ill. A wellness examination may also be called a ‘check-up’ or a ‘physical examination’. The focus of a wellness visit is the maintenance of optimal health.

vaccination

Vaccination is the one of the veterinary service given by DR.PET Hospital.

Vaccines help prevent many illnesses that affect pets. Vaccinating your pet has long been considered one of the easiest ways to help him live a long, healthy life. Not only are there different vaccines for different diseases, there are different types and combinations of vaccines. Vaccination is a procedure that has risks and benefits that must be weighed for every pet relative to his lifestyle and health. Your veterinarian can determine a vaccination regime that will provide the safest and best protection for your individual animal.

Surgery

Veterinary surgery is surgery performed on animals by veterinarians, whereby the procedures fall into three broad categories: orthopedics (bones, joints, muscles), soft tissue surgery (skin, body cavities, cardiovascular system, GI/urogenital/respiratory tracts), fracture repair, stabilization of cranial cruciate ligament deficiency, complicated gastrointestinal or urogenital procedures, skin grafts, complicated wound management, minimally invasive procedures are performed by veterinary surgeons (as registered in their jurisdiction). Most general practice veterinarians perform routine surgery [neuters (spay and castration), minor mass excisions, etc.], some also perform additional procedures.

The goal of veterinary surgery may be quite different in pets . In the former, the situation is more close to that with human beings, where the benefit to the patient is the important factor.

x-ray

Types of Pet X-Rays
X-rays are instrumental medical imaging tools for veterinarians. They can reveal a substantial amount of information with relation to your pet’s health. The three most common x-rays for pet examinations include:

Abdominal
As the name suggests, abdominal x-rays, allows the vet to assess the abdomen, the stomach and bladder stones. The shapes of these organs help to indicate inconsistencies that may precede a specific condition or disease. They can also detect tumors, cancerous or otherwise, and they can diagnose pregnancies.

Chest
Chest X-rays are reliable for cancer detection. They target the heart and lungs and are the preferential medical imaging tool for assessing trauma and fractures that have affected your pets.

Orthopedic
An Orthopedic x-ray is an examination of your pet’s bone configuration. It can reveal fractures, bone deformations, and orthopedic disorders that are common to your pet’s species, age, or history. This may include elbow or hip dysplasia.

Sonography

An ultrasound examination, also known as ultrasonography, is a non-invasive imaging technique that allows internal body structures to be seen by recording echoes or reflections of ultrasonic waves. Unlike x-rays, which are potentially dangerous, ultrasound waves are considered to be safe.

Pet Shopee

The hospital is also aware of the changing attitudes in society and a high priority is being given to products that will reflect the demands on recycling, ecology and a general responsible attitude towards the environment, again without comprising Dr.Pet’s High quality standards.

Our pets play an integral role in bringing joy and cheerfulness to our house. The unconditional love they provide us is a healing force in itself. Offering them top quality pet products goes a long way in keeping them healthy and happy. Even so, there are a wide range of parameters that contribute to superior health and well-being in your pets. Some of them are:

  • A Nourishing Diet
  • Healthy Treats
  • Regular Grooming
  • Prescription Foods
  • Mentally Stimulating Toys
  • A Comfortable and Hygienic Living Environment.

Laboratory

A blood test or lab test allows us to learn information about your Pet’s health which can only be found from collecting a sample of blood and having it analyzed. This includes a CBC (complete blood count) and blood chemistries that analyze chemical components in the blood.

A CBC for dogs identifies and quantifies white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets in a given amount of blood. This includes analyzing the shape and condition of the cells for health and functionality. This information is helpful in learning more about your dog’s immune system (white blood cells) and oxygen carrying capacity (red blood cell count).

Additionally, blood tests for dogs can also identify:

  • Glucose
  • Proteins
  • Electrolytes
  • Cholesterol
  • Endocrine Levels
  • Digestive Enzymes
  • Blood born pathogens (Organisms invading blood cells causing health issues such as those transmitted by ticks)

Dentistry

Eighty-five percent of all pets have periodontal disease by the time they are 3 years of age. Dental disease can result in bad breath, painful chewing, and tooth loss.A professional dental cleaning is required to remove plaque and tartar from a pet’s teeth and to assess the health of the mouth.

Boarding

Home boarding is when your Pet goes to stay in someone else’s home where your Pet lives as part of the family with their own bed, food, toys and enjoys all the comforts of a home while away. There are no kennels and no cages involved.

Pet sitters provide daily care for pets while their owners are on vacation. They typically stay in the home of the owner, so the pets can remain on their familiar territory. In addition to caring for pets, they may also provide basic services for the owner, such as collecting mail and vacuuming pet hair.
